Portia "Papparazzi" Sims was born in Greenville, SC and will always remain a “Southern Bell” at heart. She is a woman who lives on the edge by taking chances. After graduating from the journalism program at University of South Carolina in 2006, she moved to Atlanta, GA with no plan in mind or funds. With ambition, courage, and determination she gained employment shortly afterwards working as a Youth Career Advisor, guiding low-economically youth ranging from ages 16-21 in the right direction. She was the perfect person for that job. She also made great networking connections throughtout Atlanta by working for WSB-tv, Public Broadcasting Atlanta, and Fulton County Television. Portia became well-known in Atlanta, GA for her “Papparazzi” hairstyles and was sponsored in several hairshows. So it didn't surprise many when she ended up establishing her own hair company. Even though Portia studied and mastered the world of television, her true passion is helping others and following her heart is significant. Her “Papparazzi” lifestyle extends into her professional life in being an Assistant Director of Admissions at Argosy University in Nashville, TN. With typically kind, colorful personality, Portia always leaves a lasting memory. In the future, she looks forward to providing high quality,virgin hair to the world and starting an event planning businees entitled, “Papparazzi Event Planning”.
